It’s pool season in San Diego and in Encinits, Solento Tequila is providing fress samples poolside at Alila Marea Beach Resort.
Every Saturday in July (7/5, 7/12, 7/19, and 7/26) Solento will host a pop-up tequila bar next to Alila Marea’s oceanfront pool, called The Pocket, offering complimentary tastings of its award-winning organic tequila. This takes place from 11 a.m-3 p.m.
The biggest Saturday is likely to be on July 12 when Solento founder and award-winning surf filmmaker Taylor Steele will be on had for a meet-and-greet. Known for helping define modern surf cinema with films like Proximity, This Time Tomorrow and The Drifter, Steele has spent his career crafting compelling visual stories that blend culture, movement, and place, making his evolution into building a purpose-driven tequila brand a natural extension of his creative vision.
Beyond the samples, The Pocket will feature a Solento Tequila cocktail called the Solento Eastside, made with lime juice, agave syrup and topped with cucumber slices. The Pocket is open to the public and day passes for the pool are available online with a ResortPass, which is $114 and includes a hot tub and sauna and towels and obviously the pool (lounge chairs are first come, first serve).
