How These San Diego Bars Are Celebrating The Fourth of July

Several San Diego bars are celebrating the Fourth of July with food and drinks. Here is a rundown of what several San Diego bars are offering on 4th of July Weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

The Gaslamp’s barleymash is serving Chef Rose’s BBQ Rib Sandwich on an onion roll with potato salad and corn. Pair with any of the beers on tap, or try one of barleymash’s signature cocktails, like The Ron Burgundy made with barleymash Private Barrel Kentucky Spirit, sugar, angostura bitters, and orange bitters.

The Smoking Gun’s Wagyu Chili-Cheese Dog is available Saturday, July   through Tuesday, July 4. It’s a 1/4 pound wagyu hotdog loaded with wagyu chili, cheddar cheese, green onions and Fritos on a New England-style bun, served with a side of housemade coleslaw. The Gaslamp hotspot will also be featuring a specialty Red, White & Blue cocktail, made with Titos, pomegranate, curacao, and lemon.

On Friday, June 30, Miss B’s Coconut Club in Mission Beach has a Diplomatico Daiquiri Hour from 3-6 p.m., with live music, swag handouts, tastings, and education on some of the tastiest rum in town. From June 30-July 4 barflies can pair any of Miss B’s Caribbean classics with the Red, White, and Blue cocktail. Made with Diplomatico Rum, this festive blend features Lemon Juice, Pomegranate, and Blue Curacao.

No one in San Diego throws a 4th of July party quite like Mavericks Beach Club, and the beach bar is planning to celebrate from July 1st – July 4th with outdoor games, DJ’s, and dancing.  Those looking to start the party early can enjoy brunch, on Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. DJ’s willing be spinning beats from 2 p.m. to close from Saturday through Tuesday. 860 Garnet Avenue, 92109

And while it’s not a bar, Spill the Beans will be offering a July Flavor of the Month, the Fried Onion and Gouda Bagel with BBQ Brisket Cream Cheese with pickles. Spill the Beans partnered with sister restaurant, The Smoking Gun, to showcase their delicious house made barbecue sauce and smoked brisket.

Another restaurant, Fish Shop in Pacific Beach, will be hosting its first-ever Shrimp Boil, on Tuesday, July 4. Guests can enjoy seasoned shrimp with corn on the cob, red potatoes, and spicy andouille sausage. And if you’re out-of-town or can’t make it in on the Fourth, you have another chance to stop by PB Fish Shop on Tuesday, July 18. Point Loma Fish Shop will also be hosting Shrimp Boils on Sundays (7/9, 7/23, 8/6, 8/20) throughout the summer.
