
Cloak & Petal, a Japanese-inspired lounge and restaurant in San Diego’s Little Italy, has expanced it cocktail menu by adding several creative drinks.
They are:
• A5 Royale Reserve: a5 fat-washed Suntory ao Japanese whiskey, sanonto sugar, bitters, smoked
• Aqua Ryu: real de valle tequila, passion fruit, aperol, lime, togorashi, honey
• Lychee Sakura: haku vodka, nigiri sake, yuzu lychee juice, lychee cordial
• Shoguns’ Paradise: spiced rum, ube coconut syrup, falernum, lemon, pineapple, matcha powder
• Tokyo Drift: amarás verde mezcal, thyme, lemon, ginger, pineapple
• Golden Kyoto: mijenta reposado, lillet blanc, genepy
• Kiwi Fu: don fulano blanco, elderflower, kiwi, cucumber, lime
• Tsuki Mi Tsuki You: smith & cross rum, lemon, genepy, banana cordial, honey, pineapple
• Orochi Azul: mijenta blanco tequila, dragon fruit syrup, alma tepec, lime juice
• Tea Ceremony*: matcha, mint, cucumber-infused vodka, lemon, honey, pineapple
• Shiso Peachy*: gin, peach, elderflower, shiso leaf, lemon, honey
• Wake Me Up, F* me Up*: dropkick espresso, bourbon, cinnamon syrup, mr black coffee liqueur
*Tea Ceremony, Shiso Peachy, and Wake Me up F* Me Up have all been ongoing staples of Cloak & Petal’s cocktail list but are now available with a new combination of ingredients. The price of the cocktails is $16-18. They are $13 during Cloak & Petal’s Happy Hour, which is Monday-Friday 4-6 p.m.
“This summer menu is a celebration of vibrant, seasonal ingredients brought to life through thoughtful technique and presentation,” said Cloak & Petal’s Bar Manager Johnny Perez.
“It reflects the influence of mentors and experiences from my time in New York and San Diego – each cocktail designed to be both visually striking and elegantly balanced.”
Designed to reflect the streets and culture of Tokyo and Harajuku, Japan, Cloak & Petal, is a different concept than the Italian-heavy restaurants of Little Italy.
