It is in conjunction with Surfrider San Diego, Channel 93.3 FM and The Local in PB. Earlier in the month, Hagar himself was in America’s Finest City where, among other things, he donated a check to Surfrider San Diego.
The Surfrider San Diego beach cleanup will take place from 9-11 a.m., with the check-in at Crystal Pier, located at 4500 Ocean Blvd. Registration for the beach cleanup is available here. The Local at Pacific Beach will host an after-party and offer $3 off Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co.’s sparkling rum cocktails in a can to beach cleanup participants 21 and over.
From 2-5 p.m., Channel 93.3 FM’s Geena the Latina will host a live appearance from The Local, plus Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. will be offering samples and merchandize giveaways. Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. is matching all donations to Surfrider San Diego up to $2,500 that are made here.
“We’re thrilled to support Surfrider San Diego in its mission to keep our beautiful beaches clean,” said Hagar, who is a longtime Southern California resident. “Together, we hope to lead the way for all beach goers to leave our beaches better than we find them.”
Hagar’s Puerto Rico-made Beach Bar Rum steeps island flavor into his new Beach Bar Cocktails, which come in four award-winning flavors: Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Splash, Island Pop and Cherry Kola Chill. The top-shelf sparkling rum cocktails are 5.5% ABV, sweetened with agave and made with all-natural ingredients. Each 12 oz. can is 130 calories and contains just five grams of sugar.
The Local blends pub-style and coastal cuisine with a beer menu that celebrates San Diego’s rich beer culture and cocktails made with fresh hand-pressed juices for a fun Pacific Beach vibe. The second story beach deck offers beautiful beach sunsets for unforgettable happy hours with friends.
