Father’s Day is June 18 and in recognition, several San Diego restaurants and bars throughout the city are having food and drink specials.
Here’s a rundown of San Diego bars and restaurants having Father’s Day specials in the Gaslamp, Little Italy, Point Loma, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Hillcrest, Lemon Grove and Claremont.
Coco Maya, Little Italy’s Caribbean-inspired rooftop restaurant has prime rib dinner and Old Fashioned cocktail. Reservations are recommended.

Miss B’s Coconut Club, Coco Maya’s sister restaurant in Mission Beach, haas $5 drafts of Bud Light, Space Dust, Miss B’s Blonde, and In Love with the Coco IPA. Food includes including Lechon Asado Hash, Jerk Rubbed Chicken Wings, Plantain Coconut Shrimp, and El Cubano.

Hillcrest’s Tacaliente, which took over the space previously occupied by Lalos Tacos, is offering $5 beers, $2 street tacos and $5 mini mulitas Guests can also take $5 off their bill if it’s $50 or more. The kitchen features Chef Marco, who had worked at Lalos for 17 years and was brought back by Tacaliente founder Tony Ballo.

The Smoking Gun in the Gaslamp is bringing a Midwest tradition – Meat Raffles – to San Diego for Father’s Day. It will be raffling off a high-quality, individually wrapped steaks and meats. Raffle tickets will be available to buy and can also be earned by purchasing a specialty cocktail during the event. Winners can take home raw/ready-to-cook steaks, and The Smoking Gun will also have an option for winners to have their prize cooked for them, in-house for a small fee.

Also in the Gaslamp, and right around the block from Smoking Gun, barleymash Executive Chef Kevin Templeton presents Steak Frites. For $24, guests can enjoy 10oz skirt steak and duck fat fries served with bleu cheese butter or green peppercorn sauce. Pair with one of their dozens of beers on tap including Latitude 33 Brewing Blood Orange IPA and Harland Brewing Japanese Lager.

Lemon Grove’s newest restaurant, AnniVenti La Trattoria will feature a specialty menu priced at $46 per person. Choices of Antipasti include Calamari Fritti, Caesar Salad, Scarpetta and more, while entrée options include Salmone Di Bronte, Pollo Al Marsala, Pizza Margherita, and four additional dishes.
