The Gondola Company, which offers gondola rides in San Diego, has partnered with Pure Bliss Picnics for curated onboard picnics. Here’s a look at the menus.
· The Mediterranean Picnic – A spread of hummus, pita, Persian cucumbers, carrots, olives, and fresh seasonal fruit
· The Elegant Charcuterie Board – A gourmet assortment of fine cheeses, cured meats, artisan crackers and seasonal fruits
· The Fruit & Dessert Picnic – A customizable array of cupcakes, macarons, and other sweets
For an even more elevated and intimate experience, there is the specialty Picnic Gondola Ride aboard the spacious Caorlina Cruise. Designed for intimacy and elegance, this private experience starts at $550.
Wines – whites, reds and sparkling – are also available for an additonal cost ranging between $31 and $65 a bottle. You can also bring your own bottle for a corkage fee.
The Gondola Company offers 50-minute rides through the Coronado Cays (south of the bridge along the Silver Strand). Prices are $129 for two people for the standard ride, $154 at sunset. Other cruises are also available and are listed on its website. Up to four additional people can be added for $20 per person and you can also add a singing gondolier or a mandolin player.
The company was founded in 1999 by Sean Jamieson.
