Redwood Room Bar’s Chemistry Happy Hour Encourages Singles To Mingle

First is the Spring Menu For Decompression Hour and the other is the Chemistry Happy Hour, which is designed specifically for singles.
The Spring Menu For Decompression Hour is Monday-Thursday 4-7 p.m. It features red and white sangria along with beers and wines, which are $6-8 during Decompression Hour. Appetizers start at $6.
Additionally, the bar has created a new cocktail using honey from the hotel’s own honeybees (keep reading) and/or herbs from its “cocktail herb garden.” The drink, $16 on the regular menu, is $10 during Decompression Hour.
CLIFT mixologist Tony Kim and his team at Redwood Room are also using the herbs with flowers, lemons and limes to infuse local spirits such as No. 209 Gin.
And, on the first Tuesday of the month, mingling games are incorporated into the Chemistry Happy Hour, which encourages singles to meet other single people. The idea is to have people put away their cell phones – please! – and actually talk to one another in the bar.
If you stay at the CLIFT hotel, you get two complimentary cocktails from the Redwood Room bar.
And if you don’t get sufficiently buzzed at the bar, the hotel also has 100,000 bees on its rooftop, which are being used to produce local honey for ingredients in food and cocktails. These will be available starting in the summer.
The CLIFT Hotel Address: 495 Geary St, San Francisco, CA
