A ’90s PJ Party & Erotic Readings on Valentine’s Day Weekend

The week after hosting Super Bowl 50, San Francisco turns the other cheek now to its romantic side.
And the CLIFT, a boutique hotel in the heart of “the City,” has two no-cover parties in its bar on Saturday and Sunday nights, as well as a Valentine’s Day package for its rooms.
On Saturday night, it’s a 90s pajama party featuring “Rojai” from Bayonics starting with a warm-up set from Sonny Phono (I HEART 90’s) playing soul music and JBOOGIE playing 90’s music from 10 until closing at 2 a.m.
This takes place in the Redwood Room.
On Sunday night – which is Valentine’s Day – the same location has Red Light Lit, a literary journal presented in a live format that explores love, lust and sexuality. It involves provocative readings and evocative musical accompaniment in a suggestive environment.
This goes from 6:30- 9 p.m.
The CLIFT also has Valentine’s Day room specials throughout the month of February. It’s IN LOVE packages includes champagne, turndown service and a continental breakfast in bed. Rates are from $239 per night.
Finally, it has introduced a new Happy Hour called Decompression Hour. The bar features house cocktails and house-made Sangria in the digital-meets-deco Redwood Room. Select beers and wines are $6-$8 – including its house-made red and white sangrias.
Select food items are $6; highlights from the menu include Truffle Kennebec Fries, Beef Brisket Slider, and Fried Stuffed Olives. Love knows no bounds, so reservations for the Decompression Hour are not required.
Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
