Sonoma Valley Delicious Features Wine Tasting, Restaurants & Hotels Discounts
Naturally, in Sonoma County, wine has to be involved in any promotion.
Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, also known as Experience Sonoma Valley California, has partnered with Visit California to bring what it calls Sonoma Valley Delicious! to the Sonoma Valley in January.
This is a month-long celebration of all things epicurean in Sonoma Valley, with specials at participating restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, olive producers, cheese makers, bakeries, breweries, retail shops and more as well as special offerings, promotions and tours.
It goes through Jan. 31.
“Sonoma Valley is known throughout the world as a culinary epicenter,” said Jonny Westom, Experience Sonoma Valley’s executive director. “Sonoma Valley’s rich agriculture and bounty is shown through this promotion showcasing the culinary experiences Sonoma Valley has to offer.”
What it’s offering is 2-for-1 wine tastings, food and wine parings and discounts on accommodations. one-time dishes served at restaurants, prix fixe menus and special cocktails created just for the occasion.
California Restaurant Month is a series of events at restaurants and cities, towns and areas all up and down the state, including festivals of wine, beer & food.
“This year, we’re broadening the program to promote all things culinary across the Golden State from farmers’ markets and chef tastings to progressive dinners and winemaker specials.” said Caroline Beteta, Visit California’s president & CEO.
“Our restaurants are the gateway to California’s abundance of culinary experiences — now it’s time to peel back the layers to let our visitors experience the talent behind the scenes, from farmers and producers to chefs and winemakers.”
