The week after the intensity of a weekend in Tuscaloosa for the Third Saturday of October, the annual Alabama-Tennessee college football game, PubClub.com photographer Jack Fleming found himself relaxing at a tiki bar in Naples, FL.
Kick-back Jack wandered into the Sand Bar Ritz Carlton in Naples, drawn by a sign that stated “GumBo LimBo Beach Bar and Restaurant.” It’s hard to blame the guy; I would be drawn to such a place quite easily myself. He was catching a post-Bama breeze in Florida.
On the menu were several rum drinks and kicked-back Jack, who was at the port of indecison on which one(s) to order, just told the bartenders – Liz and Leslie – that he wanted “photographic rum drinks.”

They delivered, giving him a Mai Tai, Pina Colada and something called a Miami Vice (rum, coconut, pineapple and lime juice and strawberries; interestingly Naples is one the opposite coast of Miami). All three had Jack kicked back smling and drinking, the worries of having to be some place – a resturant, a bar, the tailgate party, the football game – as was the case last week all a distant (but very pleasant) memory.
“It’s my post ‘Hate Tennessee Week’ wind down,” he said.
Way to keep the party going, Jack, albeit in a completely different way than the previous week at the University of Alabama.
