Maui, Hawaii, is calling. And you can go there for free.
Pacific Whale Foundation is holding a sweepstakes with the winner and a guest getting a five-day, four-night stay on Maui, roundtrip airfare and a PacWhale Eco-Adventures ecotour. While there you can snorkel famous Molokini Crater and view sunrise (for really early risers) at Haleakala volcano.
Enter Pacific Whale Foundation’s sweepstakes for your chance to win. It is free to submit one entry or you can make a small donation to get additional entries to win this trip. All proceeds support Maui-based, nonprofit Pacific Whale Foundation to protect marine mammals.
Now if you are wondering whether or not Maui is a good place to visit now in the aftermath of last fall’s fires, the answer is yes. The Hawaiian Tourism board is encouraging people to travel to the island and by doing so you are helping it recover by boosting the economy as well as those who work in the hospitiality industry.
Lahina Town, unfortunately, no longer exists but there are other treasures to explore on Maui.
The Pacific Whale Foundation’s (PWF) mission is to protect the ocean through science and advocacy and to inspire environmental stewardship. It conducts research, education and conservation programs.
Founded in 1980 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the world’s whales from extinction, PWF now solely owns social enterprise PacWhale Eco-Adventures, which offers fee-based programs and services to help support the nonprofit. Combined with memberships, donations, charitable grants and a remarkable group of dedicated volunteers, PWF now reaches more than 400,000 individuals each year through its Maui and Australia offices and research projects in Ecuador and Chile.
