Downtown Neighborhood Event Features 50 Acts On Five Stages

But there’s also music here and the second week of October it hosts a huge festival in its historic Fountain Square neighborhood on the southeast side of downtown. It’s the Fountain Square Music Festival and in 2017 it features more than 50 performers on five stages.
The dates are Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6-7. Gates open at 4 p.m., on Friday and noon on Saturday.

Fountain Square Music Festival Bands
Performing on Friday, October 6 will be: Dr. Dog, Real Estate, Coin, Welshly Arms, Arlie, Flint Eastwood, Lily & Madeleine, BIYO, Morgxn, Jake McMullen, Brandon Whyde, Prxzm, Thunder Dreamer, The Wldlfe, Amy O, Saint Aubin, Peter Oren, Hales Corner, Coyote Talk, Back To The Future with DJ Metrognome, and Slater Hogan and more.
Performing on Saturday, October 7 will be: Phantogram, Bishop Briggs, The Cool Kids, Richard Edwards, Why?, Bryce Vine, Okey Dokey, Dan Luke & The Raid, Dream Chief, Mike Floss, Malcolm London, Public, Myzica, Ghostgun Summer, Warbly Jets, Busman’s Holiday, JAC, Player Piano, Clint Breeze & The Groove, CJ Boyd, The Blue Stones, Henry Chadwick, Mathaius Young, Bigfoot Yancey, House Ghost, J. Elliott, America Owns the Moon and Manners, Please and more.
Daily artist lineups have also been posted at fountainsquaremusicfest.org. The exact set times for each artist will be posted there prior to the event.
Fountain Square Music Festival Tickets
Two-day general admission passes are available for $99. Friday single-day tickets are available for $49, and Saturday single-day tickets are $59. Two-day passes and single-day tickets are on sale now at the event’s website and ticketfly.com. The VIP tickets are sold out for the festival.
FSMF is an initiative of Southeast Neighborhood Development, a non-profit organization. A portion of the proceeds will go back to benefiting neighborhood organizations.
Fountain Square Music Festival Stages
In addition to performances at various music venues throughout the popular Fountain Square neighborhood, FSMF will unveil its a new main outdoor stage called THE NUCLEUS, located on Virginia Avenue. All FSMF stages are within one block of each other.

THE NUCLEUS main stage experience and performances at Square Cat Vinyl are open to all ages. Indoor shows at HI-FI, White Rabbit Cabaret, and Pioneer are 21+.

In addition to the restaurants in the Fountain Square area, there are food trucks and THE NUCLEUS has a full bar.

The Fountain Square Music Festival is located in the eclectic neighborhood of Fountain Square on the southeast side of downtown. If you’re a local, simply follow the Indianapolis Cultural Trail south and you’ll end up at the festival grounds.
