The USA’s top party destination for Super Bowl weekend is not the host city for the event – which this year is the Phoenix area – but a lively place that’s known as Sin City: Las Vegas.
It’s one of the biggest weekends of the year in Vegas, and that’s saying something. Tens of thousands of people head to Sin City and swarm the city’s Strip and casinos on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
They go for the bars and gambling – you can bet on anything related to the Super Bowl including but certainly not limited to which team wins the coin toss and which player scores the first touchdown – and spend the entire time in an altered state of alcohol, the dinging sounds of slot machines, encounters with other people and over-consumption of everything that’s part of being in Vegas.
Many of these people are part of groups that go every year. They have their routine down and do the same things they do year after year. There are some newbies experiencing it for the first time and while it’s mostly men, girls have found out about it of late so it’s getting better from a pick-up standpoint.
Now girls be warned that not all of the men are single; some actually take off their wedding rings! Shocking, we know but the Super Bowl is not the only game taking place in Las Vegas on this weekend.
