There’s a lot more things to do in Las Vegas than gamble, walk the Strip, see the shows and go to the bars and clubs.
Just outside of town there are many nature adventures, one of which is river rafting Black Canyon National Water Trail on the Colorado Rive at the base of the Hoover Dam. There are tours offered by operator Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures, which has been in business for 42 years. The tours are on riding motor-assisted, inflatable rafts through Black Canyon. Guides share their knowledge of this area and point out the native fauna, including the desert bighorn sheep, osprey and great blue herons.
“For 42 years, we’ve provided guests with the opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring beauty and scale of one of the most iconic landmarks in the country,” said Chad Taylor, director of marketing and guest experience, Lake Mead Mohave Adventures. “From first time rafters to guests returning this season, we guarantee to provide visitors with a vantage point of the Hoover Dam unlike any other.”
