The Golden Tiki Lounge is one of 15 bars and lounges at Resorts World Las Vegas on the north end of the Strip.
Replacing the Genting Palace Lounge, the Golden Tiki Lounge has tiki decor and, of course, the wild and exotic drinks that are a major attraction of all tiki bars – the Mai Tai, Zombie, Jungle Bird and Scorpion. Some will be served in punch bowls, including rum, vodka and tequila-based bowls for people to share.
The decor has elements such as the golden monkey statues that sit perched above the bar, blended “with elevated touches for a more modern ambiance,” as described on its website. Note, it is scheduled to open on Monday, April 17.
This is not the first tiki bar on this location. When this property was the Stardust, one of its bars was the Aku Aku in the 1960s.
The hotel describes the dress code as “upscale casual,” which means no hats, caps or sandals/flip flops. No flip flops in a tiki bar? Aloha shirts are welcome.
Other bars at Resorts World include Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge, Fat Tuesday, the Bimini Bar pool bar and Alle Lounge on 66, a high-end lounge with rare spirts on the 66th floor.
Other notable tiki bars in Las Vegas are the famous Frankie’s Tiki Bar near downtown and the Golden Tiki in Chinatown.
