Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve is a blast and a bang. Several bangs, actually.
For NYE 2024, Sin City has two fireworks show, one along multiple hotels along the Strip and another one downtown at the Fremont Street Experience. More than 400,000 go to Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve.
On the Strip, fireworks are launched from hotels one right after another – boom, boom, boom, boom and so forth and this year adds the new and just-opened Fontainebleau. The show lasts for eight minutes. Here’s the fireowrks hotels:
• MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
• ARIA Resort & Casino
• Planet Hollywood Las Vegas
• Caesars Palace
• Treasure Island
• The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
• Resorts World Las Vegas
• The STRAT
• Fontainebleau Las Vegas
Downtown, there will again be fireworks at the Plaza Hotel.
This is Vegas and the show not only must go on, it must go on in spectacular fashion. In fact, it’s called “America’s Party 2024.”
“In Las Vegas, we’re just in competition with ourselves,” said Steve Hill, President & CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “There’s nobody who can compete with us, we just want to do it better every year,” said LVCVA President & CEO Steve Hill.
The fireworks show on the Strip will be augmented by an eclectic music mix featuring artists like Mariah Carey, Banamarama, Bruno Mars, Pitbull and Pink. At the Fremont Experience – which is more locals and generally a slightly older crowd than on the Strip, there are bands under the caonpy. Unlike the Strip, there is a cover charge and it is $50.
“There’s nowhere in America that you’re going to see eight acts in one place for $50 on New Year’s Eve,” said Andrew Simon, the President & CEO of the Fremont Street Experience. “On top of that, the Plaza Hotel will be shooting fireworks off at midnight as well. Come to the party, see the fireworks at the Plaza. It’s an extremely exciting time.”
