High Roller Observation Wheel To Turn Orange, Purple & Yellow & An Adult Costume Contest
The LINQ Promenade is all dressed up for Halloween 2017. Here’s a rundown of events and activities happening on Halloween weekend and into Halloween night, which is Tuesday, Rocktober 31.
The High Roller will be illuminated on Halloween night in Halloween colors of orange, purple and yellow starting at 6 p.m.
On Oct. 27-31, “The Witching Hour” stage show will take place at the top of every hour from 7-10 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, the Promenade will host its annual “TRIQ or Treat” event (for families) from 2-6 p.m., while its annual adults-only (21-and-over) costume contest will take place at 9 p.m.
There’s entertainment until 11 p.m., including performances of “The Witching Hour” at 4 p.m, 5 p.m, 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., as well as a DJ and the LED Drumline; the latter will perform at 7:15 and 8 p.m.
In addition, children 12 and younger ride the High Roller for free Oct. 27 – 29 with the purchase of a general admission adult ticket; tickets are available at any Caesars Entertainment box office or use promo code HRWKIDS.
Unrelated to Halloween but still on the theme of a big October event, Virgil’s Real BBQ is still celebrating Oktoberfest with its Friday Night Beer Fest Series and Big Mug Contest.
Rotating breweries bring in different craft beers each week from 7-9 p.m., and for the popular Big Mug Contest, contestants hoist a large beer mug straight out in front of them just like at Oktoberfest celebrations all around the world. Whomever holds the mug for the longest time wins a prize.
Participating breweries include Ballast Point, Big Dog Brewery and Lefthand Brewery.
Virgil’s also offers drink specials, live music and giveaways during each NFL and college game. Specials include BBQ nachos, smoked wings, trainwreck fries and more.
And while on the topic of specials and drinks, Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar now has Happy Hour (bar area only) from 3-7 p.m., Monday-Friday. It also has a late-night Happy Hour from 10 p.m.-midnight, including its Brisket Trashcan Nachos and a pitcher of beer for $30 and any burger and a draft beer for $20.
