There’s a new nightclub in Las Vegas, and while that’s not exactly unique news for Sin City, this one is different. That’s because it is not on the Strip but instead in the downtown Fremont District.
And is promises to bring a lot of substance to the Las Vegas nightlife scene.
It is called Substance and it is at 450 Fremont Street on the second floor of the Neonopolis Complex just around the corner from the El Cortez Hotel. At a whopping 18,000 square feet it is huge and a warehouse-style setting. The goal is to bring rave parties in an unpretentious manner to the masses who are tired of the high prices and dress codes of so many Las Vegas nightclubs.
Substance is owned bu Marcel Correa and Joe Borusiewicz, no newcomers to the Vegas nightlife scene wiht their company RVLTN, in a joint effort with Insomniac Events.
“Growing up in Las Vegas, we’ve always loved our great city and its incredible potential to become a thriving local music scene,” Correa and Borusiewicz said in a press release, which PubClub.com got from EDM.com. “We’ve attended countless shows, festivals, and events here and our passion has always been about serving our fellow locals. As promoters, working with various venues throughout the city has given us deep insight into what works and what doesn’t—from guest experience and operations to overall strategy.
“No one enjoys paying $30 for parking or navigating a casino just to attend an event. People dislike strict dress codes, long lines for drinks and bathrooms, poor sound quality, and gouging fees. At Substance, our goal is to create an entertainment destination that addresses these issues, incorporating everything we’d want as event producers and local music fans. We can’t wait to unveil our most exciting venture to date.”
PubClub.com checked the Substance website for ticket prices and found them to be around $30, which is cheap by any standards, especially in Las Vegas. Substance is set to open in July.
