Here’s one for beer lovers.
The Mob Museum in Las Vegas has launched a tour that involves beer. Called The Untapped Story: A Beer Tasting Experience, it includes two 6-ounce beer tastings and one 12-ounce beer tasting. The tasting features lagers, IPAs and The Mob Museum’s own house draft, Big Al Ale’s, and you get to keep a souvenir pint glass. The museum’s beer list consists Brooklyn Brewery’s Brooklyn Lager, Able Baker Brewing Co.’s Atomic Duck IPA, and the Mob Museum’s house draft Big Al’s Ale, which right now (through May) is an Irish Pale Ale. After the Irish Pale Ale is gone, the Museum will brew its Kolsch.
Available Monday-Thursday evenings at 7 p.m, from June through August, it is a 60-minute educator-guided tour, plus time in The Underground distillery. For those who also wish to preview the Museum independently, tickets also include general admission beginning at 5 p.m. The cost is $69, $49 for Museum Members.
From lagers to IPAs, and even The Mob Museum’s house draft Big Al’s Ale, “The Untapped Story” participants learn how Prohibition fueled the early rise of organized crime and how beer helped influence the Mob’s power in America, all while enjoying tastings along the way. Led by Museum educators, this immersive beer tour explores the connections between beer, the Mob, Las Vegas and American history. Perfect for beer fans, history buffs, date nights and anyone looking for unique things to do in Las Vegas, this interactive tasting experience lets guests enjoy a variety of beers while exploring the legacy of beer and crime in America.
Of course, this is a 21-and-over tour.
It can be booked online at the Mob Museum’s website.
