In true Sin City style, Palms Casino Resort is giving a big cowboy nod to the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas. During the Dec. 4-13 event at the Thomas & Mack Center, the Palms has a full lineup of events, including concerts, a meet-and-greet with a rodeo champion, a $50K Rodeo Chip Draw, a Toyota Tundra giveaway and a pop-up cowboy-themed holiday bar.
Plus, in a rarity in Vegas these days, there free self parking as well as free shuttles to the arena. Here’s the full list of rodeo events taking place at the hotel.
• Meet Rodeo Champion Tuf Cooper and More (including Tif Cooper and the Fashion Posse)
Rodeo fans are in for a rare treat with the chance to meet four-time Gold Buckle World Champion tie-down roper and 2017’s World Champion All-Around Cowboy, Tuf Cooper, on Dec. 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 8:30 p.m., inside KAOS at Palms Casino Resort. Fans can take photos, get autographs and meet a true rodeo legend. Also, Miss Rodeo Canada will make appearances nightly at KAOS and Stables and host a Lobby Dance Party on Dec. 11. Insider’s Tip: Catch Tif Cooper and the Fashion Posse Pop Up at random times throughout NFR week – they will be doling out cash prizes for best dressed.
• Free Concerts – HANK’S Honky-tonk at KAOS
Palms Casino Resort is teaming up with HANK FM this December with HANK’S Honky-tonk at KAOS, featuring free live concerts. Allie Colleen performs on Dec. 5, Walker Montgomery on Dec. 6, Chris Cagle on Dec. 13 and Casey Chesnutt on Dec. 12, with shows kicking off after NFR at approximately 9 p.m.
• Concerts at The Pearl
The Pearl Theater has live entertainment, including the popular Santa Jam starring Brett Young on Dec. 7 with an official after-party to follow at Ghostbar and OG “Garage Band” Kansas on Dec. 5.
• Santa’s Saloon Pops Up at Palms In December
During and after the rodeo, Santa’s Saloon is a cowboy-themed holiday pop-up bar. Open select nights from Dec. 3-28, it’s equal parts Western saloon, adult holiday party and theatrical spectacle. Located on the casino floor near Scotch 80 Prime, it’s an immersive experience with holiday cocktails, performances and food. There is no cover charge. For more information, click here.
• NFR Viewing
There is NFR viewing Dec. 5-6, and 12-13 at KAOS at Palms, followed by free live concerts. And, on Dec. 4 and 7-11 at STABLES near the William Hill Sportsbook. Doors open each day at 5 p.m. Enjoy a DJ, theme nights, giveaways, line dancing, celebrity signings, and nightly entertainment. Catch emcee Jesiah “Cheech” Zapata at select live viewings and after parties. Whether die-hard rodeo enthusiasts or newcomers to the bronco-busting action, guests will find an unbeatable atmosphere to take in every ride, roping, and rough-and-tumble moment at Palms. • $50K Rodeo Chip Pull
A $50K Rodeo Chip Draw happens daily from Dec. 4–13 at 10 p.m. inside Unknown Bar. Club Serrano Members earn one entry for every 25 Tier Points earned between 12:01 a.m. and 9:50 p.m., with entries activated from 9–9:59 p.m. Each night, five winners are called to the stage for a live chip pull, where each random chip color reveals a prize—from $250 to the top prize of $2,500 in free slot play or promo chips.
