It exists at Fox Run Golf Club in Ludlow. At least when you consider its indoor golf simulator. With it, you can “play” more than 20 of the world’s best courses, including Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Troon, Harbour Town, Bay Hill and Torrey Pines in San Diego, where Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open on a broken leg. You can play stroke, skins or match play for four teams of up to four players each. The price is $50/hour.
As for real golf, Fox Run’s course is comprised of 18 challenging holes that incorporate the area’s natural elements and highlight the mountainside terrain. The greens are undulating and fast, putting all golfers’ skills, and ability to the test. Fox Run’s greens, tees, and fairways are all bent grass and there are multiple tee areas. It also has new GPS-tracked golf carts. Green fees vary by season and the time of day (afternoons cost less) but for the the peak July-October months before Noon the price is $149 for 18 holes, including the cart.
The club has the newly-renovated Calcuttas restaurant which includes a bar and the full-service restaurant serving lunch and dinner and a patio. The patio has fire pits and full views of the golf course and Okemo Mountain. There is live music, as well. In the fall, TVs will have on NFL games. The club also has a summer a breakfast food truck.
Owner Troy Caruso also just acquired two other restaurants in Ludlow, Mr Darcy Bar and Burger (which serves locally sourced Wagu beef from Vermont) and Off the Rails pizzeria, all under the direction of culinary director Andrew Molen.
Fox Run is also renovating a 33-room inn that should be open by 2023, as well as wedding facilities that can accommodate large weddings. In the meantime,, Fox Run can arrange for an AirBnB in Ludlow.
