Schedule Of Bands, Craft Beers And South Bay’s Hottest Singles

 

When it’s Labor Day in the South Bay, all locals know what that means: Fiesta Hermosa!

That’s the three-day festival of craft booths, busy bars, bands and the beer garden at the pier in Hermosa Beach, CA, the most happening of the beach cities along the Los Angeles coast. Several thousand people are drawn to it like moths to a light. And the highlight of the whole thing is the beer garden.

Located behind the bars on the pier, in the parking lot, the beer garden this year features several craft beers. At some point during each afternoon, just about all the single (or mostly single!) people in the South Bay go to the beer garden. So much so that by late afternoons, there’s a small line with a wait of 15-20 minutes. And be sure and have your i.d. on you!

In addition to the beers and also a red and white wine, the beer garden features two bands on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and they are as follows:

Saturday
• 11:30-2:30 –Identity Theft, Classic Rock
• 3:30-6:30 – Woodstock, 60s tribute

Sunday
•  11:30-2:30 –  Bad Boyfriend, 70s, 80s, 90s rock
•  3:30-6:30 –  Lyvyn Skynyrd, Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute

Monday
•  11:30-2:30 – Ronnie & The Classics, 50s & 60s
• 3:30-6:30 – The Young Guns, 80s rock

At the same time, there are also bands at the pier. The only place to hear the bands and drink is at Hennessey’s or Cantain Real.

Saturday
• 11-2 – Dog & Butterfly, Heart tribute
• 3-6 – Greg Wolfe as Rod Stewart

Sunday
• 11-2 – Pretzel Logic, Steely Dan tribute
•  3-6 – Hollywood Stones, Rolling Stones tribute

Monday
• 11-2 –  Paperback Writer Beatles tribute
• 3-6 – Peacefrog, Doors tribute
