Three-Day Festival Has Live Music & South Bay Singles In Hermosa Beach, CA

Labor Day in Los Angeles means time at the beach and if you’re in Hermosa Beach, it means Fiesta Hermosa.
This is a three-day event on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at and around Pier Plaza that features two stages of tribute and party bands, a beer and wine garden and two streets of arts and craft booths.
It’s important to note that while you can obviously drink in the beer garden, you cannot at the main stage, so you’ll have to be at one of the small bar patios of one of the bars, most notably Hennessey’s, Waterman’s, Silvio’s or even Mermaid.
Thousands of people turn out for Fiesta Hermosa each day, starting at 10 a.m., and going well into the night. The beer garden closes at 7, and there’s enough bars along Pier Plaza to keep everyone humming well past sunset.
Plus, it’s the start of college football season and there are several huge games all three days, including UCLA hosting Texas A&M at the Rose Bowl on Sunday (kickoff at 4;30 p.m.).
Below is the full schedule on the two stages, one at the end of Pier Plaza at The Strand and the other in the beer and wine garden. It’s important to note that there’s no drinking on Pier Plaza – to hear the music and have beers, wine or cocktails you must be in one of the bars.
Thus, the patio at Hennessey’s is the toughest seat in town, and you can also see and hear the bands from the small patios at Silvio’s and Waterman’s.
Fiesta Hermosa is a three-day festival in Hermosa Beach, CA, that features bands, the beer and wine garden, every South Bay single person who has not left town for the weekend, and several arts, crafts and food booths.
The event is free.
Also on the music scene, the highly popular local band called Barley – which opens up Fiesta Hermosa on the pier on Saturday – is playing the Lighthouse Cafe from 4-8 p.m.
