LA Festival, Scheduled for July 24, Features Bands and a Beer and Wine Garden on Hollywood Blvd.
The Los Feliz Village Street Fair is back.
After a two-year hiatus, the Los Feliz Village Business Improvement District (LFVBID) has announced the 18th event will be held Sunday, July 24th, on Hollywood Blvd.
The event will feature local bands, beer and wine gardens, food from local restaurants, performing artists, arts and crafts, and the return of the popular Green Scene Eco Showcase Pavilion.
Debuting in 2011 is the Mind Body Spirit pavilion, featuring yoga, meditation, and all sorts of holistic wellness; Chalk this Way, a chalk art installation and the Los Feliz Fashion Festival, a huge trunk show spotlighting local independent designers, including live runway presentations.
“We are excited about bringing the street fair back to the community this year, ” said Chris Serrano, President of the LFVBID. “We have seen an influx of new businesses pop up on Hollywood Boulevard in the past couple years so to celebrate that & because they are the newest members to the LFVBID, we thought Hollywood Blvd. would be the perfect venue to bring back our village fair.”
Of prime importance to PubClubbers is, of course, the beer and wine garden. There will be two, located at opposite ends of the Fair. In addition to beer and wine, there will be specially themed “Los Feliz” cocktails. City rules provide only for alcohol consumption to take place within the designated beer and wine garden areas.
The Fair will be open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
Event organizers are currently interviewing musicians and performing artists. Interested entertainers are asked to send a performance DVD or CD and press kit to: LFV Street Fair, 2046 Hillhurst Ave., # 41 Los Angeles, CA 90027. First priority will be given to local musicians, however, all acts will be considered.
