After all, if you score on NYE that’s really going out the year with a bang!
With that in mind, here is PubClub.com’s best places to party and get laid on New Year’s Eve.
1.) Las Vegas
Sin City can be anything you want it to be and as far as getting laid in Las Vegas, follow the advice of Mr. Lay Vegas of PubClub.com by clicking the link. Of course, that’s with the “regular” people. You can also spend some mega bucks and find a solicitor in some of the hotel casino bars and elsewhere.
Specific to New Year’s Eve, there are big events at all the nightclubs and most of the bars but the big event is the block party along the Strip. It has tons of people and fireworks that “hop” along the different hotels.
This is an ideal place to walk up to someone who is of interest to you and start a conversation about the fireworks. Pro’s Tip: After the fireworks, have a place in mind to go for drinks. This could be a casino bar or a bar that doesn’t require advance reservations or a huge line/cover charge. Usually, these are the more casual bars and certainly not the nightclubs.
2.) New Orleans
For a more casual and even potentially wilder New Year’s Eve, head to New Orleans, PubClub.com’s top New Year’s Eve party destination. There’s the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, a fireworks show over the Mississippi River and the Sugar Bowl.
Plus the raucous activity of those who are in New Orleans. Unlike Vegas, this is a more casual party scene, for you don’t need to dress up and pay outlandish cover charges to get into the Bourbon Street bars and elsewhere.
3.) House Parties
This could well be #1 place to get laid on New Year’s Eve. Because you don’t always need a big crowd. As the ‘ol saying goes, “it only takes one.”
And it is at house parties where you can meet that “one,” often fairly easily. You’re all there so you have some mutual connection and that’s a great way to start a conversation with someone who catches your eye. You’re also not moving around a lot; just room to room rather than on different streets at a block party or different bars in a city. So it’s easier to keep track of people whom you find attractive. You are unlikely to lose them in the crowd.
Yet here’s the real kicker: As the ball drop begins and the host brings out the champagne, you can quite possibly find a single person looking to bring in the New Year next to someone and plant a big kiss on them at midnight.
4.) Sydney
Australians seem to have a very healthy – that is to say, casual – attitude about getting laid so put tens of thousands of them in a big, fun city and, well, you could not just be Down Under but all over if you know what we mean.
Sydney has a huge public fireworks show over the water by the famous Opera House and there is a long all-outdoor bar that stretches from one shore to the quay. It’s called, appropriately enough, Opera Bar.
But there’s so many more party places. King’s Cross is the spot for nightclubs and Bondi Beach has the surf/beach lifestyle crowd. And we can tell you that beach people know how to party!
5.) New York City
Times Square is packed and there are a lot of restrictions there with security but it’s a big city with a lot more happening than the famous ball drop. Pro’s Tip: Be careful of the all-you-can drink promotions at some bars, particularly around Times Square. There are so many people crowding the bar area that you’ll spend too much of your time just trying to get a drink than actually drinking and talking to other singles.
6.) Waikiki Beach
The big advantage of Hawaii’s Waikiki Beach is that pretty much everyone is on holiday and when some people are on a holiday they do things like hooking up that they would never do at home.
Plus with the warm weather and the beach people are in bikinis and board shorts so you get a pretty good look at them. They also like to go to Duke’s or the Mai Tai bar and other places to have a few drinks after laying on the sand and being in the water so this is a great place to live the Aloha singles lifestyle.
7.) Key West
The Conch Republic parties for New Year’s Eve! Key West has a big gathering on Duval Street, fun bars, daytime drinking, a wench drop and tons of fun people. Pro’s Tip: Be sure and read PubClub’s party guide to New Year’s Eve in Key West!
8.) Bowl Game Destinations
The Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, the Cotton Bowl in Dallas and the National Championship at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (Jan. 9 but what the heck, extend your New Year’s celebration if you can, right!?).
Those are party cities plus the fans are all in a good mood – well, at least before the game, anyway – and they have college students. Cheerleaders, band members, staff, etc., are all at the bowl games in addition to the regular fans. Attend the parade, get in the mood, find out where the alumni headquarters is and party with them. They are all traveling and that’s always a good time to catch someone with their pants down, quite literally.
9.) Pub Crawls
Pub crawls are excellent events for getting laid and there is probably one in the area where you are spending New Year’s Eve. On pub crawls, you already have something in common with everyone else because you’re on the same pub crawl!.Plus, they are almost always several single people on pub crawls and are all in the same place at the same time. The table is all set.
10.) Promoter Parties
Most towns and cities have several big parties put on by local promoters. This could be a boat ride or a rented venue or even a nightclub in conjunction with a club. They always have a lot of single people who are there for one reason: to mingle! These parties always have multiple rooms with different themes and music, DJs and maybe even a band or two. Here’s details on one happening this New Year’s Eve in San Diego.
