Brandenburg Gate Fireworks Gets 1 Million People
One of the biggest public New Year’s Eve celebrations in the world takes place in Berlin.
More than a million people head to a spectacular fireworks show at Brandenburg Gate, making for a huge party scene. It takes place from Brandenburg Gate to Victory Column, an area that encompasses a whopping two kilometers.
There are bands and DJs, light shows, special attractions, food from all over the world and, of course, drinks. Alcohol is sold so getting a drink is not a problem.
It all builds to a fireworks show at midnight, after which people either stay there and party or go to NYE parties at Berlin bars and nightclubs. Thre party itself lasts well into the morning and get this – there’s no offical end time to it. With million people in the area, you can imagane the festive, fun scene.
Therre are a couple thing to know before you go: Because there’s so many people you need to arrive earlier in the evening, no later than 8 p.m. Also, there are security checks no bottles are allowed.
