The best party destinations for New Year’s Eve are the ones that have huge outdoor countdowns and fireworks celebrations. New York City, Berlin, New Orleans, Sydney and Las Vegas are among the best places in the world for NYE for this very reason.
This blows away promoter parties in bars because it’s free, you can generally take your own cocktails and you can party with tens if not hundreds of thousands of people. And not just at midnight, but for hours beforehand and moments afterward, too.
You are also outdoors, free to roam in a big public space and can explore other areas besides just the best viewing locations.
