There’s no June Gloom on PubClub.com. Here’s what’s happening In and around Los Angeles to be sure you get our an enjoy the area this first weekend of June.
THURSDAY

• QUEEN MARY AIRSHOW & WWII PERIOD PERFORMERS
Take a stop back in time and enjoy one of America’s war heroes at the same time. The Queen Mary is hosting a party with a WWII trainer fly-over and period performers on several decks from 3:30-8 p.m. Admission is free after 3 (this in itself is.a rare treat as it’s normally $27 to board) and there’s wine and drinks to buy and walk around the decks. In WWII, the Queen Mary transported tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers to Europe. Parking is $10, reduced from its normal $18.

• TACOS & TEQUILA
TimeOut Los Angeles is hosting just what it sounds like, street tacos from seven Mexican restaurants, plus your $25 ticket ($20 in advance) gets you two tequila drinks. The location is Candela La Brea on La Brea.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY – PANCAKES & BOOZE ART SHOW
A pancake bar, live music & DJs, body painting, live art and 150 emerging artists. But not at breakfast; it’s 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Booze for purchase. Tickets are $13 at the link below (fast track entry) or $10 at the door:

FRIDAY: FREE BEER!
• And wine! No kidding. Music, too. Aviator Nation in Manhattan Beach is hosting First Friday at its office, 8 p.m., midnight. Address: 206 10th Street in Manhattan Beach.
SATURDAY
• El Segndo’s Rob Rubens Distilling & Brewing is holding a one-year Beerversary from noon-8 p.m. It features special beers, food trucks and live music. The bummer is that it’s 40 bucks to attend. SUNDAY FUNDAY: HOUSE OF BLUES GOSPEL BRUNCH
If you’re not been to this, then PubClub highly recommends it. The music is great and the food is awesome. You can also opt for the bottomless mimosas option!

SOUNDS OF THE SOUTH BAY – BANDS IN OUR BARS

Thursday: Standing Room – South Bay Jam, 9-close
Friday: Hermosa Saloon – Jerry’s Middle Finger. Saint Rocke – Erotic City, a tribute to Prince $20). Slip Bar – Jett Pink
Saturday: Lighthouse – The Radio Rebels, some of whom used to be in “The Candies” that used to pack this bar,” are playing an 80s and 90s dance party music Saturday night. And of course from 4-8, it’s the regular first-Saturday-of-the-month gig for local band Barley. Saint Rocke – Hot 8 Brass Band ($20)0.
WEEKEND ROAD TRIP: SAN FRANCISCO STREET FESTIVAL
This weekend is the best of the San Francisco street festivals, primarily because it’s in the Marina District with lots of lively bars all day. It’s the Union Street Festival and here’s more about it!
