More Rock & Lobsters In Seaside Lagoon

The annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival was, at one time, a true “Rock Lobster” event in the Los Angeles South Bay’s Beach Cities.
No, the B52s were not there, but a lot of people in the Beach Cities are for this three day-and-night event in Redondo Beach, CA.
However, this annual event, held the third weekend in September, has been canceled but in its place is a similar event with different organizers. It’s called Lobster Rock and it’s pretty much the same thing, with some notable food differences.
First of all, it’s also the third weekend, Sept. 21-23. It’s also in Seaside Lagoon. There are bands, beers (craft and otherwise), quality wines and, of course lobsters.
Tickets are $20 per day or $50 for all three days. Food and drink are priced separately – $22 for a lobster dinner from Quality Seafood, $40 for two. Lobster rolls, lobster mac ‘n cheese and other local restaurants such as Mama D’s and Silvo’s are also serving special small plates for $8.

Held in King Harbor’s Seaside Lagoon, it is always a big drew for many South Bay singles, who love to mingle to the live entertainment.
A main attraction for the many South Bay party people who are always looking for a good excuse to gather with other singles and drink beer are the bands.

Stone Soul Motown would be a great band for the festival.
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, PubClub has just learned that Lobster Festival has been canceled for 2018. We are in the process of updating this article. – PubClub.com

PubClub will look into it this week; saw a plane flying a banner over the beach on Sunday advertising it.

So glad we have an event again. Been going to Lobster Fest for years with a large group. They only thing am a little worried about is you band line up. Don’t know any of them and sure if they will be for all generations going. Will see.
One other question is it 20 dollars a day whether you buy on line or at the gate.
Hi Tracy. I can tell you as far as bands Yachtly Crew is a blast. Friday is kind of a reggae night. I will have that question myself regarding at the gate or only on-line and will post the answer when I get it. Cheers! – PubClub.com
