The Super Bowl is one of the biggest worldwide parties of the year and you can find fun anywhere, but if you really want to get in the spirit of the game – or perhaps spirits! – then head to one of these destinations.
They are the top places to party not just for Super Bowl Sunday but for the entire weekend. After all, a great party lasts hours if not days. Keep in mind that with the coronavirus pandemic, these spots are not at their full party level as in “regular” years. Still, use this article to plan for next year because the information is the same each season.
Super Bowl LX is Feb. 8 in San Francisco and the Eagles won in a rout. And just wait until the parade – it will be a PARTY!
1.) Seattle

The Emerald City is back in the Super Bowl and the fans are ecstatic. The place to party in Seattle is around Luman Field where the Seahawks play. There are several bars there, among them Flatstick Pub. Belltown is another fun area of Seattle nightlife and there’s some cool bars around the Pike Place Market, most notably the long-standing Kells Irish Pub down an alley (1916 Post Ave.).
2.) San Francisco For Super Bowl LX

Once again, San Francisco is hosting a Super Bowl. While the actual stadium is miles away in Santa Clara, the celebration leading up to the game will be in what locals call “the City.” Most of the activity will be centered around the Muscone Center with the BAHC Live! San Francisco Fan Zone takkng place next door at Yerba Buena Gardens. This is a tickted event ($40).
3.) Boston
Beantown is back in the Big Game. It’s kind of old hat for the people there but that in no way takes away from the fans’ excitement. The bars in the Back Bay along Newberry Street is the place to party in Boston, tho the old pubs around the Faneuil Hall Marketpalce and Fenway Park are also lively spots.
4.) Las Vegas
This is the top travel destination for Super Bowl weekend, other than the actual game city itself.
That means it’s more than just the weekend, it’s Super Bowl Week.
Of course, it’s the place to bet on the game, and not just the game but on all sorts of other things, such as how long the National Anthem will last, which team will win the coin toss and pretty much anything else you can think of – and many that would never enter your imagination.
This is also a girls’ paradise, for the place normally is 80% men – be on notice that some take off their wedding rings! It’s also one of the biggest weekends of the year for out-of-town “working ladies. If you want to see them off duty, then hop a late-afternoon Southwest flight from Los Angeles to Vegas. Yes, they fly into Vegas for the weekend!
5.) Los Angeles South Bay Beach Cities

This is where PubClub.com usually is for Super Bowl Sunday. The day starts early with the Super Bowl 10K in Redondo Beach , the highlight of which is the beer garden. Yes, we start our beer drinking before 10 a.m.! Then it’s a succession of nearby bars followed by hitting a series parties. This is a full, fun day, folks!
6.) Phoenix Open, Scottsdale, AZ

This actually has less to do with the Super Bowl than another event, the Phoenix Open. The wildest – by far – golf tournament on the PGA Tour it’s a single person’s paradise, from the “Sweet 16th” hole to the party by the food court and beer tents. Too bad they have over-priced the post-tournament party the Bird’s Nest (it’s a whopping 85 bucks this year!) The tournament is rocking on Friday and roaring on Saturday, tho on Sunday the majority of the party people are at Super Bowl house parties.
BONUS: SUPER BOWL HOUSE PARTIES
If you can’t be in any of the above locations, then make wherever you are a top party place. Either hit a bar, host a party or go to a house party. While at the latter, tho, be sure an avoid these Super Bowl house party foods – especially if you are single!
