Three-day USA Holiday May Find The Blogger In Hawaii

Here’s a great place to spend Memorial Day: Waikiki Beach!
And I might be doing it.
A friend is there on business and has a room and has invited me to crash in it, so I called another friend who works for the airline and he’s working on a buddy pass.
This would be great. I’ve been to Waikiki Beach on Memorial Day. That trip, I got invited to a sand bar party on Saturday (or was it Sunday. Whatever!?). This was a locals’ event that had a band on a float in the middle of the water, boats anchored off the shore and tons of great partying, all around a sand bar off a beach.
I was taken by a gorgeous girl, known locally as a “Hoppie,” meaning she was part Hawaiian and part of another nationality. Lucky was I, that trip most certainly.
But even without a sand bar party, Waikiki Beach is fun for Memorial Day. Heck, it’s fun anytime. It’s time I get back there and visit some of my favorite spots: Doraki Sushi and it’s awesome Happy Hour, sunsets at Rumfire, the yellow boat booze cruise and, of course, the best of them all Duke’s on Sunday.
Just the thought of all this makes me excited!
Okole Maluna!
