Shaken Not Stirred Martinis Mix With Beer In Ad & Promotional Campaigns
James Bond, a man who has always liked his alcoholic beverages, is being wooed like a Bond girl for the latest movie.
In “Spectre, to be released Nov. 6, Bond – played by Daniel Craig – will be drinking vodka martinis. Shaken not stirred. And sponsored by Belvedere.
Yet like keeping Goodnight stashed in the closet while making his big move on Andrea (“Man With The Golden Gun”) he’s also flirting with another alcohol, Heineken.
Belvedere & Heineken Bond Marketing & Promotions
Both brands are using the movie to launch major marketing campaigns. Belvedere has launched commercials featuring Bond girl Stephanie Sigman as part of what the company calls its largest global advertising initiative. There will also be special 007-etched bottles.
Heineken is running commercials called “The Chase” which resembles the boat scene out of “From Russia With Love.” It also has bottles with a scannable logo which can be redeemed for free tickets to the movie in a promotion with Fandango, and will be taking the world’s first selfie from space.
This is part of a broader campaign that will feature a photo taken from space of people who win a special screening of the movie.
But what about this line from Goldfinger, Bond talking to Jill Masterson before she was painted gold:
“My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done. Such as, drinking Dom Perignon ’53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.”
Will Dom Perignon be in the mix for the next Bond film?
