In 2023, this is on a Wednesday so talk about a little social media hashtag #HumpDay! Of course it’s also #WineWednesday but put the vino aside for this special day. And nite. Perhaps all nite! And don’t forget #NationalMargaritaDay!
National Margarita Day is to celebrate this concoction – frozen or not – that helps us all hang on, and because it contains tequila, often hang all out, as well.

It is a time to get to your local bar or just behind your bar and make the drink that makes you do crazy things. It is the drink that’s perfect for warm afternoons, for sunsets and for drinking late at night.
Margaritas can be frozen, causing blenders to churn, or served in a glass over ice. Just don’t use that awful pre-made mix, and if you’re getting one in a bar, make sure they are fresh made and not from the mix!
Margaritas can be enjoyed anywhere, but are best suited for places by the sand and water: beaches and boats. They are also perfect for places that make you think of beaches and boats.
And if you want the ultimate place for a margarita, then head to Margaritaville. According to the man who invented that mythical place, Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville is “wherever you want it to be.” In other words, it’s in your head and is more attitude than actual location.
Of course the ultimate margarita location for Margaritaville is a Jimmy Buffett concert.
But no matter where you are on Feb. 22, make it a margarita day. Salud!
