Aptos Village Park Hosts Craft Beers & Foodies Event
Craft beer lovers and foodies come together at the California Beer Festival, Aug. 12-14, at Aptos Village Park in Santa Cruz County.
It features more than 85 craft breweries and bands in this scenic location in a three-day event that begins with a food and beer pairing competition and ends with a picnic-style festival with live entertainment.
Here’s a rundown on the events:
• Friday, Aug. 12 – Food & Beer Pairing Competition. Local chefs and local brewmasters pair up with unlimited food and beer samples with a band providing live music. This is a 21-and-over event. 5:30-8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 13 – More than 85 mostly California coastal breweries offering samples. A band provides entertainment and there’s food vendors for purchase. 1-4 p.m. (Gates open at 12:30 p.m.). VIP 11:30-12:30.
• Sunday, Aug. 14 – Open picnic-style event. There’s no beer sampling but the craft breweries stay around and offer beers for sale.A band provides live entertainment. Space for this event is limited and advance tickets are recommended. Kids under 12 are free. 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Tickets are $50 for Friday’s pairing, $50 for Saturday’s tasting and $10 for Sunday. A three-day VIP ticket is $99.
