The fall is for football, winding down after the summer and preparing for winter. The cocktails of the season reflect this changing mood and here are four great cocktails for this time of the year, especially for National Vodka Day on Oct. 4.
The are the Lemon Drop Martini, the Dirty Martini, the Espresso Martini and the Nue Cosmo. The recipes are from Ketel One vodka.
Lemon Drop Martini
Recipe by Ketel One Vodka
RECIPE:
1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka
0.8 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice
0.8 oz Simple syrup (or raw honey syrup)
Garnish with a lemon twist
PREP:
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with good quality ice cubes.
Shake well. Strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist.
Dirty Martini

RECIPE:
1.5 oz Ketel one Vodka
1.0 oz Olive Brine
Garnish with a green olive
PREP:
Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Serve straight up in a martini glass.

Ketel One Espresso Martini
Recipe by Ketel One Vodka
RECIPE:
1.3 oz Ketel One Family Made Vodka
1.0 oz Espresso Coffee (hot)
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
0.3 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur
Garnish with three coffee beans or orange zest shavings
PREP:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
Shake with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish with three coffee beans on top.
Nue Cosmo

RECIPE:
1.5 oz Ketel One Family Made Vodka
.5 oz Sakura Cherry Blossom Vermouth
.5 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
.5 oz Lime juice
.25 oz Simple syrup
PREP:
Combine ingredients in a shaker over ice.
Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with a mini white rose and serve.
