National Martini Day is June 19 and to raise the glass in a salute to this famous drink, PubClub.com presents these cocktail ideas and recipes using Ketel One vodka.

Originally called the Martinez it was a mix of gin, sweet vermouth, maraschino liqueur and orange bitters. But that all changed with the famous words “vodka martini. Shaken not stirred,” by a certain British spy by the name of James Bond and the vodka martini was born.

Today, it is one of the most popular cocktails in the world and there are an infinite number of variations and recipes. Here are a few.

Traditional Martini Recipes

The Ketel One Dry Martini

Ingredients:
– 1.4 oz Ketel One Vodka
– 0.3 oz Dry Vermouth
– Lemon Twist

Method:
– Combine liquid ingredients in a mixing glass
– Shake with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe glass
– Garnish with a lemon twist

The Ketel One Dirty Martini

Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka
– 1.0 oz Olive Brine
– Green Olives

Method:
– Combine liquid ingredients in a mixing glass
– Shake with ice and serve straight up in a martini glass
– Garnish with a green olive

Less Traditional Martini Recipes

The Pornstar Martini

Ingredients:
– 2.0 oz Ketel One Vodka
– 1.5 Passion Fruit
– 0.5 oz Passion Fruit Syrup
– 1.5oz Champagne and a Passion Fruit

Method:
– Cut the passion fruit and scoop half into the shaker
– Add all ingredients, shake with ice, and fine strain into a chilled coupe glass
– Garnish with half a passion fruit and champagne on the side

The Ketel One Espresso Martini

Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka
– 1.5 oz Espresso Coffee
– 0.3 oz Raw Honey
– Orange Zest

Method:
– Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass
– Shake with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe glass
– Garnish with orange zest shavings
