This Boat Drink Uses Mango As The Main Mix Ingredient
Lakes, boats, beaches and BBQs – it’s all a part of the good ‘ol summertime.
And while beer is generally considered the primary adult beverage to have at these and other summer activities and events, it is also a prime time to have rum drinks. Or, as Jimmy Buffett and his legion of Parrotheads prefer to call them, boat drinks.
With that in mind, Ron Barceló, which makes outstanding rums in the Dominican Republic, has created a new refreshing tropical cocktail. It’s called Just the Two of Us and it uses mango as its primary mixer ingredient.
Used with Ron Barceló Imperial, is ingredients include mango puree, lime juice and smoked paprika syrup to create a sweet and zesty libation with a nice summertime kick.
The recipe is below.
Just the Two of Us Featuring Ron Barcelo Imperial Rum
Ingredients
• 1 ounce mango purée or juice
• 1 ounce lime juice
• 1 ounce smoked paprika syrup
• 2 ounces Ron Barceló Imperial
Method:
For smoked paprika syrup
• Combine 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon smoked paprika powder to 2 cups boiling water
• Stir and let cool
Shake strain over ice into rocks glass over crushed ice
Garnish with lime wheels and mango slice
Then sit back end enjoy! Put on some Buffett or other Trop-Rock artists like ‘Island Eric.”
