Classic Burger With Fries An All-Day Special At This Classic 50s Diner
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, all Ruby’s Diner locations will offer its classic RubyBurger with French fries for just $2.99.
Of that, $1 will go to The Ruby Dooby Foundation, kicking off the 35th anniversary of this 50s style restaurant primarily featuring a menu of burgers, fries and shakes.
Ruby’s Diner celebrates its Burger Day twice a year – once in July commemorating the birthday of the Diner’s namesake, Ruby Cavanaugh – then again in December celebrating the company’s anniversary.
The Dec. 7 Burger Day marks the first of many yearlong events planned in honor of Ruby’s Diner’s 35-year history.
“We feel privileged to continue my mother Ruby’s legacy of service and care,” commented Doug Cavanaugh, Founder and CEO of Ruby’s Diner. “The Ruby Dooby Foundation gives us a platform to give back to the community and to a cause close to Ruby’s heart, and show our gratitude for the past 35 years of service.”
The flagship Ruby’s Diner opened in Newport Beach on the Balboa Pier in 1982. During the last 34 years, Ruby’s Diner has become the destination for memorable meals, today with more than 32 locations across the country in California, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and Arizona.
For Burger Day on December 7, the RubyBurger with a side of crispy French fries costs just $2.99. The RubyBurger boasts a USDA Choice beef patty, lettuce, tomato and special RubySauce with a choice of cheese.
The Ruby Dooby Foundation, founded in December of 2015, carries on the legacy of giving and compassion embodied by Ruby Cavanaugh. The proceeds from Burger Day will directly benefit one of the foundation’s first projects, supporting the new Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This special unit inside CHOC is dedicated to small babies who need complex surgery or other advanced care.
Note: The Burger Day price is not available at Ruby’s Shake Shack, casino and airport locations.
