The Red Rocker and singer of “Jessie’s Girl” have entered into a collaboration but it’s not a song or an album. It’s a rum.
Sammy Hagar and Rick Sprinfield have launched a Kola Spiced edition of Hagar’s award-winning, top-shelf Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum.
The rum is crafted in Puerto Rico with all-natural ingredients and top sugar cane in the Caribbean. With an ABV of 35%, Kola Spiced is a proprietary spice blend that features kola nut extract which gives the premium rum hints of vanilla and coffee. Kola Spiced is the second rum in Hagar’s portfolio to undergo a branding makeover and slight enhancements for flavor this year, joining the Platinum Rum. Hagar recommends using his Kola Spiced Rum for the ultimate rum and cola or to spice up your favorite island cocktail.
Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum is Hagar and Springfield’s second hit together. The two rockers first collaborated in 1981 when Hagar penned “I’ve Done Everything for You,” which became a breakout hit for Springfield.
Springfield is featuring Sammy’s Beach Bar Rums on his current tour, including upcoming California concerts in Redding on Sunday, Sept. 10, Saratoga on Tuesday, Sept. 12, Los Angeles on Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Bakersfield on Thursday, Sept. 14. His Redding and Saratoga shows will feature his signature “Jessie’s Girl” rum cocktail. Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum is available nationwide with the exception of Hawaii.
