In recognition of the 2026 being the Year of the Horse in the 2026 Lunar New Year, Don Julio 1942 has introduced a special bottle that captures the strength, freedom and vitality symbolized by the horse.
The Tequila Don Julio 1942 Year of the Horse bottle design honors the shared heartbeat of two cultures, blending the traditional Mexican ikat rebozo pattern with the powerful symbolism of the Chinese Zodiac horse. It is 750 mL and contains the same smooth, award-winning 1942 Añejo tequila crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave as the regular bottle. It has been aged at least 2.5 years in American oak barrels and has an ABV of 40%. The price is $184.98. A special World Cup edition is $219.99.
This limited-edition bottle is available starting in 2026. To get on the waitlist and to be notified when the bottle becomes available, sign up at TheBar.com.
