Wally’s Beverly Hills Has A High-Priced Wine Cellar You Won’t Believe That Includes The Coveted Chevel Blanc

If you are one, like me, to dream of the occasional extravagant lifestyle, where money is never a consideration for anything you do or anything you buy, then step inside this place with me in one of the richest places on the plant.
It’s Wally’s Beverly Hills, an upscale (but far from pretentious, in fact it’s a pretty lively place to hang out for us single people) wine restaurant and cheese shop. It it, the walls are lined with bottles of wine from one end to the other.
Yet one wine stands out far above all others. It’s price tag is $28,000. That is not a typo. Wally’s has a bottle of wine that cost 28 THOUSAND dollars.
It’s the 1947 Chateau Chevel Blanc, one of the most sought-after bottles of wine in the world. It’s been called the most celebrated wine of the 20th century, one that high-end wine affectionados (those with a lot of cash to burn, obviously) will travel thousands of miles to taste.

It’s kept in a somewhat chilly wine cellar, cold enough to make you think the air conditioner is on a bit high but not so cold as if to make you think you stepped into a meat locker.
Frankly, I didn’t get close enough to the bottle to read the label. I was too afraid – afraid I would trip and somehow break it! My credit cards would be maxed out with one little slip, and without even a sip.
What I could do is imagine what it would be like to have the kind of money to afford to spend $28,000 on a bottle of anything. You would have to be the founder of something along the lines of, say, oh, Apple or Microsoft.
Perhaps a rich oil sheik. A rock or movie star. A top-tier professional athlete or a top-notch coach. Nick Saban pulls in 6 mil a year, so maybe $28,000 wouldn’t dent his wallet too much, tho he’s far to practical to even consider such a thing.
Even for someone who has thousand dollar bills falling out their pockets in between the couch cushions, spending $28,00 on a bottle of wine has to be not just a splurge, but the splurge of all splurges.
Pause and think for a moment of all the things you could do with $28,000.
Then again, if you’re more on a “budget” then Wally’s has other wines in its wine cellar for you. How about a 1901 selection for a mere $16,000? Or a 1921 bottle for a mere $7.000.
Well one can dream, right!?
