#WineLovers Have A Place To Drink In The Tropics
When in Belize, you may be drinking rum and beer because of the tropical environment.
Unless you are at the Turtle Inn. That’s a Family Coppola Resort and since Francis Ford Coppola has two wineries in Sonoma County, CA, this is a fine place for wine and wine lovers.
And now, the Turtle Inn has added a wine room. It features a wall-to-wall glass-encased wine cellar and holds 1,200 bottles including, of course, award winning selections from Coppola’s two wineries (Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Virginia Dare Winery).
It also has wines from his Inglenook estate in Napa, along with many other vintages from Chili, Argentina, Italy, France and the USA.
Hotel guests get to tour the room while having a wine tasting of select vintages. They can also rent out the adjacent garden, which sits just outside the cellar, and have wines with local cheeses and freshly baked breads.
The Turtle Inn is a 25-room hotel on the tip end of a sandy peninsula within walking distance of the fishing village of Placencia.
