With Bars, Nightclubs & Restaurants Closed, Tips For Single Men On How To Stay Entertained Around The House Or Apartment
By Kevin Wilkerson. PubClub.com Nightlife Blogger
No bars? No nightclubs? No restaurants with bars?
No women!?
Oh, and no sports on TV, either.
What are we single men to do, stuck at home, unable to really go anywhere due to the coronavirus pandemic?
Well here’s a few suggestions on how single men can stay entertained around the house or apartment.
Do “apartment exercises” such as situps, jumping jacks and – if you have them – lifting of some weights.
2.) Clean Up The House Or Apartment
Admit it, the place is a mess. Take the time to get it straightened out, picking up magazines and clothes that are on the floor, even unpack those boxes you’ve had stacked in the corner for the past year.
3.) Clean Up Your Closets & Drawers
That area is likely a mess, too, so take some time to fold, hang up and otherwise tidy up these traditionally cluttered areas. And to make things easier on yourself in the future, organize your clothes into categories: business, beach/leisure, bars and nightclubs, etc.
4.) Learn To Cook
This will come in handy when you can finally start going out again. Cooking for a woman is something that can really impress her, so here are a few basics to know:
• Pasta is easy. Boil it in a pot for 10 minutes. You can drain it using your spatula.
• Toss the cooked pasta in a pan in which you have had been sauteing crumbled ground beef or turkey (be sure and add some seasonings, at least salt and pepper; I use Tony C’s Cajun Spices), mushrooms and onions, add in a little pasta sauce, sprinkle in some cheese and you’re done.
• Serve with a salad and wine
• Note: Be sure and use olive oil before heating up the pan as a lubricant to keep things from burning.
5.) Rock It Out At Home As If You Are Out At A Bar Or Club
You have to stay in bar-shape, right? Well keep rockin’ in at home by putting on music, dancing in the living room (you know what I mean, practicing your dance floor moves) and slamming a few beers or cocktails. Hey, it’s hardly the same as actually being in a bar but it will at least provide you with some similar moments and you may even have some pretty good flashbacks of fun that will have you laughing past midnight.
Conclusion
Nothing replaces the real thing but if you accept the situation then you can use these tips to make the most of it.
Cheers!
