12 Bars Of Christmas, Boat Parades & Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks On Tap

I’m taking deep breaths.
Doing a few sit-ups and going for runs.
And putting on my game face.
It’s the holiday party season and that means it’s time to find my red shirts, Santa hat and to be prepared for all the libations I will be putting down my body, especially on one particular weekend.
During a single three-day span here in the Los Angeles beach cities, there is the 12 Bars of Christmas, the Redondo Beach Boat Parade and the biggest event of them all, the Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks.
Surviving one is tough enough, but putting all three back-to-back-to-back makes for some interesting recovery methods (sleep is important but so, too, is keeping food in the system, which is not easy when you’re on a pub crawl involving 12 bars, a jetty watching boats with lights go by in front of you or on The Strand watching fireworks light up the sky).
Plus there are holiday strolls in Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo Beach.
I don’t have any office parties to attend, because I don’t have an office, and that’s kind of good with all these other events on the social calendar. Occasionally, a friend will throw a house party and a couple of friends have an annual gathering of the local fun party singles when they rent out a little beach cottage at a local motel.
So I’m getting prepared for all this because ’tis the season for fun holiday parties and they are coming at me like Santa coming down the chimney.
Cheers!
