The Ultimate Fans Accessories Guide
Getting dad a gift for Father’s Day is often difficult because, well, what does dad really need that he doesn’t already have, right? I know my family and I struggled with this dilemma for years.
Finally it dawned on me that anything with his school’s logo on it would be appreciated and greeted with that “dad smile.” So with that in mind, here is PubClub’s 10 cool Father’s Day gift ideas for dad’s favorite college team.
This is more than a “Dad’s The Biggest Fan” t-shirt or a jacket with a logo on it. This is the really cool stuff that he deserves for being your dad.
As to where to find these items, the team’s official websites, the school bookstore, Amazon, e-Bay, etc.
1.) BBQ Grill or Grill Cover
Every dad likes to show off his grilling skills and this is a perfect gift, No. 1 on our list. A team grill cover is cool but to go over the top, a team grill is one he will proudly show off to all his friends and, if he’s really into it, even set up at the tailgate party. Price: $300 and up.
2.) Tailgate Party Kit
Speaking of the tailgate party, if he’s got a spot then a tailgate party kit will make him smile and start singing the team’s fight song when he opens the gift. This involves a pop-up tent, chairs and how about some nice side shading like this crew in the photo has at an Alabama tailgate party. Don’t forget the team napkins and table cloths! Price: Pop-up tent $150-200, chairs $25-35,
3.) Golf Bag & Accessories
If there’s one thing dad is likely to use more than a grill, it’s his golf clubs. So send him out on the course fully equipped with a golf bag, balls ball markers, tees, putter & woods covers and towel for his clubs. Price: Golf bag $200-300.
4.) Coach’s Autographed Helmet Or Football
Autographed helmets are really cool and you can always find one the coach has signed. This is especially great for dad to put on display in his team room. Your dad does have a room full of items from his school right? Price: $300-600.
5.) Recliner
Oh yeah! This would be his game-watching chair. Price: $800 & up. You can also get recliner protectors with the school’s logo; these fit over a chair and look really good for around $50.
6.) Bar Stools & Accessories
You could go really crazy here with bar stools, a bar table and accessories from signs to wall decorations. Cost: Bar stools $100-200, tables $150-250.
7.) Pool Table, Balls & Light
A pool table is a high-dollar gift idea and as a result, you can pretty much bet your dad will be the only one on the block with it. Accessorize with a hanging light and a rack of balls with the team’s logo. Price: The pictured pool table is $4,500, tho you can get a covering from Wayfair for $79. Light: $400. Balls: $175
8.) Stadium Seat Or Cushion
My dad always loved stadium seats because those aluminum bleachers in the stands can get uncomfortable while sitting for an entire game. So I know this is a great gift for dad. Sometimes the seats can be a burden to carry so a stadium cushion is a nice alternative. Price: Seat $35, cushion $20
9.) Cooler
Dad likes cold beverages and he’s going to love digging into a cooler with his team’s logo on it. Cost: $35-150 depending on size and type
10.) Drink Glasses
You could go crazy here with a complete set of glasses, beer mugs, a sports bottle, etc. Quality cocktail glasses are the best gift idea because dad will proudly break them out when his buddies come over to sip some whiskey and tall sports. Cost: $15 to $50
BONUS! Wall clock
Not every cool gift has to cost a fortune. Dad likes things he can display and a wall clock is prefect. It’s also unique because not everyone would think of having a wall clock. Price: $30-50
