7 Benefits To Giving Out Wristbands For Your Events

Wristbands are popular items in various events such as conferences, symposiums, concerts, and festivals. You might spot people wearing them in numerous colors and designs, and they can be very eye-catching and decorative based on their design. Aside from their appearance, wristbands differ in the materials they are constructed from. They can be made of silicone, plastic, and Tyvek, just to name a few items.

Oftentimes, wristbands serve as exclusive merchandise for certain events, but event hosts and organizers have other reasons for using them. To know more about it, check out some of the benefits of distributing wristbands at events below.

They Can Increase Brand Awareness

The top reason many people give out wristbands at events is that they are valuable marketing materials. They help companies in their brand awareness campaigns and are great at raising awareness for different causes. The Livestrong campaign, popularized by professional cyclist Lance Armstrong, used yellow silicone debossed wristbands to increase cancer awareness back in 2004. Those vibrant-colored wristbands were hard to miss, and they became so successful that many charities followed suit in the trend of offering silicone bracelets.

Many brands also invest in customizing wristbands and making them very attractive to encourage people to wear them even after the event, which turn wearers into walking advertisements. Just imagine how many people will see your company logo when you distribute wristbands at your next event.

They Are Easy to Use

Even if this is the first time you will be giving them out for an event, wristbands are very easy to handle. How you wear them depends on the materials used to construct them. In the case of silicone wristbands, they can easily slip on and off your wrists. For other wristbands, attaching them requires assistance. To secure synthetic and Tyvek wristbands on the wearer’s wrist, they need to be looped around the wrist after peeling the adhesive backing and sticking it to the opposite end. On the other hand, some plastic wristbands are fastened by a clip. Once you snap them on the wrist, the only way to remove these wristbands is to cut them off with scissors.

They Are Great Mementos

Most wristbands given out at events are customized and often feature the venue and theme of the event. These details make wristbands valuable for attendees who want to help remember their experiences. If you know someone who collects concert tickets as mementos, you will also find individuals keeping their wristbands long after the event for a similar reason. For silicone wristbands, event-goers can still wear them as accessories during their day-to-day activities.

They Act as Access Passes

In place of tickets, wristbands can serve as admission passes in all types of events, including concerts and networking events. These events often attract large crowds, and wristbands make it easier for event organizers to check and verify their attendance. Guests and participants simply need to wear them and show them to the person inspecting them. Since they are made especially for the event, using customized wristbands reduces the risks of individuals producing counterfeit copies.

They Can Help in Guest Management

Wristbands are a creative way to manage event guests and attendees. All they need to do is show their wristbands and security staff will be able to direct them where they need to be. Gone are the days when guests have to keep holding their tickets to pass through general admission and get to their designated area. Also, event organizers can issue different color wristbands to identify where they need to usher guests. For instance, in concerts when there are different sections based on how close the crowd will be to the stage, organizers will find it easier to direct people more efficiently.

They Are Durable

Outdoor events are fun, but the unpredictable weather can also be problematic for organizers. It will be harder for people to inspect tickets made of paper that can get soaked if it’s raining. But if they give out wristbands, they won’t encounter a similar challenge as most wristbands are made of waterproof materials. In addition, wristbands made of Tyvek are great at restricting access in outdoor venues since these wristbands are tamper-proof. When the adhesion in the Tyvek wristbands sets, it will be hard to remove them without destroying the adhesive area. This helps organizers prevent guests from removing their wristbands and handing them to their friends outside to gain entry.

They Are Cost-Efficient

If you have an event that runs for more than a day, giving out wristbands is more economical compared to printing three days’ worth of tickets for each participant. You won’t have to worry about dealing with attendees losing their paper tickets as well. Since there are several wristbands made of durable materials, they can withstand different elements and still last for the entire duration of the event.

There are numerous benefits in distributing wristbands for your events. They can serve as both attractive access passes and exclusive event giveaways. Also, your guests will appreciate receiving them. Whether it’s a concert or conference, consider handing out wristbands at your next event.
