Theme Parks Bring Movie Experience To A Galaxy Not Far, Far Away
The reach of the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens has gone to another galaxy with the addition of attractions and adventures at the Disney Parks in Anaheim and Orlando.
Tomorrowland has become todayland, in the sense that the hot entertainment item of today is the new Star Wars movie, set to debut on Dec. 18. The park has several experiences related to Star Wars.
Star Wars Launch Bay
Location: Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in California; Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.
Star Wars Launch Bay is the central location within the parks for all things Star Wars. In this multi-sensory space, you can interact with Star Wars characters, tour galleries featuring treasured memorabilia and detailed replicas of Star Wars props, play the latest Star Wars interactive video games and buy special Star Wars merchandise.
One area of interest for PubClubbers has to be The Cantina.
Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Resort
Location: Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in California.
The classic Space Mountain attraction is now Hyperspace Mountain, featuring a battle between Rebel X-wings and Imperial TIE fighters.
There is also a behind-the-scenes movie, Star Wars characters roaming around the park and video games and movie props in something creatively called the Star Wars Launch Bay.
The nightly fireworks shows also features Star Wars music.
