Quebec Music Festival Gets More Rock Superstars

During the past several years, the Festival d’été de Québe has had a lot of big names perform: The Rolling Stones (2015), Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Keith Urban, Aerosmith, Skrillex, Lionel Richie, The Offspring, Metallica and Elton John.
And in 2016 it’s happening again, as Sting and Peter Gabriel are taking the stage on July 7.
This stop is part of a North American tour that will also have the music legends at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 10.
The 2016 Festival d’été de Québe takes place July 7-17.
Tickets will be available for purchase online in March 2016 and will provide entry to all shows during the entire 11-day Festival for less than $75 U.S., making it one of the cheapest music festivals anywhere in the world of this magnitude.
The Sting and Peter Gabriel show will take place on North America’s largest outdoor stage, the Bell stage, located in a historic battlefield park overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
In all, Festival d’été de Québe consists of more than 300 acts on 11 stages and even has a block party.
“To be on the short list of cities for a concert tour of this magnitude is a privilege and a fantastic gift for all our festival fans, said Daniel Gélinas, FEQ General Manager. “Launching our 2016 edition with two British rock star legends like Sting and Peter Gabriel together will be one for the anthologies!”
Festival d’été de Québec also features free entertainment city-wide, with numerous street performers, and outdoor activities.
