Bands, Bars, Art & Innovation Outside Of NYC

Among those performing this year are Brian Wilson – talk about “Fun, Fun Fun!” although he’s doing the entire Pet Sounds album – Conor Oberst, Kacey Musgrave and and Wolf Parade.
Music is the heartbeat of this event, which takes place June June 6-12. It involves art, innovation and the music portion is June 9-12. It brings in more than 100,000 people.
The concept is simple: put a bunch of bands in bars and in a park, have artwork and bring in speakers to create a huge happening for fun and creative-minded individuals and groups. People buy a badge for the entire festival or tickets for individual events.
Badges are $85 for the music and $285 each for the innovation and innovation (what’s coming up in video content is the subject for 2016). A Premium Badge ($320) is good for all events. The above prices do not reflect service fees.
Many of the bars have food and drink specials and Happy Hours during the events.
Northside takes place in the north side section of Brooklyn in pretty much every venue, concert space and screening room in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods. With a badge you can move from one location to the other and see multiple acts and/or speakers.
For the music, this means small bars and clubs. It’s important to note that the badges don’t guarantee entry so if there’s a band you want to see at a venue, arrive early.
There is food and drink available for sale on site.
