While there is no timetable he doesn’t plan on sitting around, wasting away in Margaritaville. He intends on doing Buffett-style activities: fishing, paddle boarding and sailing.
“I head home for a while, then will go on a fishing trip with old friends, along with paddling and sailing and getting myself back into good shape,” he posted o his Facebook page. Once I’m back in shape, we’ll look at the when’s and where’s of shows. I think playing is as therapeutic for me as it is for the fans to listen and sing along.”
Just two weeks after a concert in San Diego as part of a Second Wind tour that was a series of make-up shows when he had to cancel last fall due to an undisclosed heath issue, he was back in the hospital. It was “to address some issues that needed immediate attention,” he posted in his original message. This caused him to cancel – or postpone – a scheduled show in Charleston, S.C., which was to be the final stop in the Second Wind tour.
Buffett has make 76 trips around the sun and his loyal fans – known as Parrotheads – hope he has a few more. They would also like to see him in concert on tour and back on stage.
